A cross-sectional study was conducted at Ialy Hydroelectric Power’s three factories in Gia Lai from 5/2020 to 04/2021, to describe the level of noise and occupational hearing loss among workers. Data were collected by measuring the noise level at 39 locations in the factories and measuring hearing ability of 69 employees who were participating in manufacturing. The results show that 35.9% of samples exceed the level of noise allowed by labor hygiene standards, the average sound pressure level measured is 78.63 ± 15.22dBA, the noise intensity measured range from 46.9 to 105.7 dBA and 23.08% of samples exceed the frequency range allowed. The rate of overall occupational hearing loss is 20.3%. Based on the results, we strongly recommend raising awareness on workers’ occupational deafness prevention.
