This study aimed to describe association between graphic health warnings on cigarette packs and intention to quit smoking in cigarette smokers in Vietnam. The secondary study used a dataset from the global survey of adult smoking (GATS) with a two-stage stratified systematic random sampling method to generate a nationally representative dataset in 2010 and again in 2015. The sample size is based on 2775 cigarette smokers based on 9514 selected households. Assess the degree of intention to quit smoking based on health warning images. The results showed that: Health warning images have reduced 67.6% of people using tobacco in Vietnam. Smokers who intend to quit in the next 12 months (OR = 3.0 - 95% CI: 1.4 - 6.3), intend to quit in the next month (OR = 32.4 - 95% CI: 19.1 - 55.0) from health warning images. The health warning image on the pack has a strong impact on the intention to quit smoking. It is necessary to strengthen communication with images of health warnings about the harmful effects of tobacco in densely populated areas across the country.
