Abstract

A cross - sectional descriptive study aimed
to describe some factors related to hypertension management at internal medicine clinics, medical examination department, Nam Sach medical center, Hai Duong province in 2018 - 2019. The data was collected among 510 outpatient
hypertensive patients under management at Nam Sach Medical Center from October 2018 to September 2019. Results showed that the relevant factors include gender (male); patients in the family with someone with hypertension; patients who did not regularly measure blood pressure (p < 0.05). The factors of age, education
level, occupation, family history, BMI, economic condition, and patient general living status were not found statistically relevant to the status of disease management (p > 0.05). The difculties in
managing hypertension in the health center were mainly the subjective psychology of the patients.
