Status of treatment management and drug prescription for hypertension, and diabetes patients at the commune health stations in Ba Vi district, Ha Noi city in 2022

This study aimed to describe the status of treatment management and prescrition quality for hypertension and diabetes patients at the Commune Health Stations in Ba Vi district, Ha Noi City in 2022. The results showed that the proportion of patients with hypertension and diabetes were detected at 33.2% and 34.1%, respectively. The proportions of hypertension, and diabetes patients managed at the Commune Health Stations were 22.4%, and 21.9%, respectively. The number of patients managed to achieve the treatment target was 51.6% in hypertension patients, and 58.9% in diabetes patients. The rate of appropriately prescribed medical records at the Commune Health Station was over 70%, specifically the rate of appropriate prescriptions in hypertension patients (79%) and the rate of appropriate drug prescriptions with diabetes medical records (73.4%). In the future, Ba Vi District Health Center needs to have a plan to screen, detect and manage patients with hypertension and diabetes in the community, and at the same time organize training to improve capacity for commune health workers on management and treatment of hypertension and diabetes under the guidance of the Ministry of Health.
