Factors related to treatment management among hypertension outpatients at Hai Duong provincial Gneral Hospital in 2021

Abstract

A cross-sectional study aimed to describe some factors related to the outpatient management of hypertensive patients at Hai Duong provincial general hospital, the study period from October 2020 to October 2021. The results showed that 04 factors related to good treatment management including the time of participating in treatment management < 5 years (OR = 3.18; 95%CI: 1.05 - 9.65), a family member with hypertension (OR = 1.85; 95%CI: 1.03 - 3.33), on-time follow-up (OR = 4.04; 95%CI: 2.17 - 7.51) and regularly measure blood pressure at home (OR = 2.11; 95%CI: 1.35 - 3.32). It is necessary to strengthen counseling activities for patients, coordinate various forms of communication to increase the proportion of patients with good treatment management.
