Mental health issues have rosen rapidly among adolescents, especially female students. We conducted a cross-sectional survey in 8 high schools in Hanoi to describe the fact of stress, anxiety and depression among female students grade 10th, as well as to study the association between school connectedness and such mental health problems. Anonymous self-administered questionnaire was used to collect data from 657 female participants. Analysis using multinomial logicstic regression and path analysis were employed. The percentage of female students had stress, anxiety and depression was 47.8%, 66.4% and 48.7 relatively. Findings also revealed that school connectedness was a strong protective factor to help reduce the severity and co-existence of multiple mental health issues among female adolescents. Schools should consider measures, including enhancing school connectedness to improve female students’mental health.
