Human resource at Nghe An Oncology Hospital, 2020

A cross-sectional study was conducted at Nghe An Oncology Hospital in 2020 to describe current human resource situation.
Data was collected from reviewing human resource management records and interviewing the hospital director board and leaders from all hospital departments. The results showed that the current human resources of the hospital were insufcient in the account of the assigned hospital bed target. The shortage of human resources occurred in all professional titles
of doctors, nurses, and technicians in all departments. In terms of training level: Staffs in university and college level of education had accounted for the highest proportion (35.6% and 48.1%). The structure of the human resource was inappropriate compared to the standards of grade II hospitals. The professional structure was lacking in quantity. The fndings
of this study implied that the hospital needs to have appropriate policies to attract, maintain and train healthcare workers for the assurance of the human resources are sufcient in both quantity and quality, ensuring the hospital’s medical examination and treatment
