Clinical characteristics and blood analysis in patient with chronic hepatitis B virus infection in Viet Tiep Friendship Hospital, Hai Phong City

This study aimed to describe clinical characteristics and hematological tests in patients aged over 18 with chronic hepatitis B
virus infection (HBsAg positive in two tests at least 6 months apart) at Haiphong Viet Tiep Friendship Hospital. Cross-sectional descriptive study in all patients diagnosed with chronic hepatitis B virus infection at Haiphong Viet Tiep Friendship Hospital from October 1, 2017 to September 30, 2018. Common clinical symptoms in chronic hepatitis B virus were fatigue (accounting for 75.15%), anorexia (accounting for 39.05%), jaundice (36.69%), subcutaneous hemorrhage (29.59% ). Positive HBeAg test appeared in 17.16% of cases; 75.74% of patients had HGB levels in the normal range, 23.67% of patients had moderate and mild anemia; The average value of SGPT was 65.90 ± 9.58 U / l, in which more than 60% of SGPT patients increased 2 - 5 times the normal value; The average value of the SGOT index is 76.97 ± 10.78 U / l, of which 15.8% of patients increased from 2 to 5 times the normal value; The concentration of SGPT, SGOT between the two groups of HBeAg (+) and HBeAg (-) was different but the concentration of albumin and bilirubin was not different between the two groups. The study provided additional clinical and subclinical data to help physicians specialized in diagnosis, prognosis and appropriated treatment for chronic hepatitis B, prevented fbrosis complications, cirrhosis and liver cancer for patients.
