The cross-sectional study was conducted in Son La province from May 2019 to April 2020 which aim to describe the National
Immunization Information System (NIIS) implementation and assessing the completeness, accuracy of the data on the NIIS. The results show that electricity and internet are still unstable in some facilities. Printers and barcode readers are in short supply (21.5% and 3% respectively). 87.6% of the staff are relatively good at using NIIS. 77.5% of medical facilities input data according to the right process after the vaccination session. However, 79.7% of health facilities making reports have to combine information from multiple sources to be sufcient. The system helps reduce the time for planning and summarizing immunization reports. 98.7% of facilities have no funding to deploy the NIIS but still manage 96.8% of EPI subjects. 84.7% of subjects matched the demographic information, but only 50.5% matched the information on vaccines. Only 3 out of 8 facilities match the number of BCG injections and 50% match the information between vaccination book and NIIS. There is a need to strengthen monitoring of support and training for health workers as well as proactively control data on their System on a
regular basis.
