Abstract

A cross - sectional descriptive study was conducted among 420 students from two schools, including: Cong Hien High School and Vinh Bao Vocational and Continuing Education Center from October 2022 to May 2023 to describe the mental health status and related factors of students. The research results showed that: The percentage of Cong Hien high school students suffering from depression, anxiety, and stress disorders were 42.38%, 53.81%, and 49.05%, respectively, these percentages were 32.38%, 43.33%, and 28.57% in students at Vinh Bao Vocational and Continuing Education Center. Factors associated with an increased risk of depression include students being female and not having friendly relationships with friends. Increased risk of anxiety is related to factors such as students having high pressure with studying and exams; not having a pleasant relationship with friends, and experiencing school violence. Students of Cong Hien High School, high pressure with family expectations and conflicting families increase the risk of stress.
