This is a cross - sectional study focusing on describing sleep quality and signs of Internet addiction among high school students in Hai Phong in 2022, using the following tools: 1) PSQI scale (Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index – sleep quality assessment), 2) IAT toolkit (Internet Addiction Test - screening for signs of Internet addiction), and 3) demographic questionnaire. The results show that, among 650 students participating in the study, the percentage of students with poor sleep quality is 53.08%, while this rate among female students is 60.34%, and 29.08% of students also show signs of Internet addiction. The association between poor sleep quality and factors such as gender, signs of Internet addiction, napping, and study pressure is statistically significant with OR being 2.54, 1.79, 0.62 and 2.85 respectively. The study also showed a number of factors that increase the risk of Internet addiction with statistical significance, including female gender, poor sleep quality, use of the Internet for more than 3 hours/day, intense study pressure and the lack of exercise (OR = 1.63; 1.88; 2.25; 1.55 and 2.13, respectively). Poor sleep quality and Internet addiction are increasingly common among high school students. There needs to be further research on these issues.
