Depression, anxiety, stress among high school students in Hue city, 2020 - 2021

This study aims to describe status of depression, anxiety, and stress among high school students in Hue city. A cross - sectional descriptive study was conducted on 1062 high school students in Hue city for the 2020 - 2021 school year. Data was collected based on a predesigned questionnaire and DASS-21 scale. The study indicated that the prevalences of
depression, anxiety, and stress among students were 46.1%, 68.2%, and 49.6%. There were 76.0% of students with at least 1 of 3 signs, 55.3% of students with two or more signs, and 32.7% of students with all three signs of depression, anxiety, and stress. Expression levels from moderate to severe and very severe of depression was 28.9%, anxiety was 48.7%,
and stress was 32.4%. It is essential to develop and immediately enforce measures to reduce depression, anxiety, and stress to protect and enhance mental health for students.
