Situation of treatment compliance of hypertensive patient outpatient at medical examination department, medical center of Thoai Son district, An Giang province in 2020

A cross-sectional descriptive study was performed on 210 outpatient hypertensive patients at Thoai Son district Medical Center, to describe the status of treatment compliance and some related factors of patients with hypertension.
The results showed that the proportion of patients who correctly complied with all 4 contents of treatment compliance had 32 people, accounting for 15.2%, of which compliance with periodic re-examination accounted for the highest rate of 98.6%. followed by monitoring blood pressure at home 65.7%, compliance with drug use reached 49.5%, compliance with lifestyle changes was the lowest at 40.5%. Factors related to treatment compliance of patients with hypertension, sex, education level,
patient waiting time with p <0.05 are considered as three factors related to compliance. manual treatment. In order to enhance the effectiveness of treatment, there should be solutions to improve treatment compliance of hypertensive patients, including enhancing Information - Education - Communication for patients, focusing on men and groups with low education and planning to adequately supply antihypertensive drugs for patients.
