Full immunization coverage and on schedule of vaccines in children under one year of age at Thanh Tri district in Hanoi in 2019

Abstract

A cross-sectional study was carried out in Thanh Tri district, Hanoi with the aim of determining full immunization coverage and on schedule of 8 vaccines in children under 1 year old in 2019. The results showed that the full immunization coverage of 8 vaccines for children under 1 year old in Thanh Tri district in 2019 were 93.33%, the full immunization coverage and on schedule was only 30.48%. The highest proportion of full immunization and on schedule was vaccination against TB with 88.09%, the proportion of measles vaccination was 82.5%, the proportion of Diphtheria - Pertussis - Tetanus - Hib vaccination was 72.68%, the lowest proportion were two vaccines for Hepatitis B (55.71%) and Polio (60.48%). The full immunization coverage and on schedule in children with both free of charge and service vaccination were 2.9 times more than who vaccinated by free of charge, and the full immunization coverage and on schedule in children who have been hospitalized were 2.5 times more than who have not been hospitalized. It is neccesarry to strengthen the full immunization and on schedule for better prevention of diseases.
