Abstract

A community based randomized control trial was conducted to evaluate the effectiveness of nutrient - rich product on psychomotor development of stunting children aged 4 - 6 years old. 160 children aged from 4 - 6 years old with Zscore of hight according to age falling from under - 2SD to - 3SD were randomly divided into 2 groups; the intervention group was given 2 packages of nutritional products per day, continuously using for 6 months, the controlled group followed normal diet
without adding any nutritional product. Result: After 6 months of intervention, the rate of children diagnosed with suspicion of developmental delay in the personal-social, and the fne motor of the intervention group were statistically signifcantly lower than the controlled group. In the feld of gross motor, both groups experienced a signifcant decrease after 3 months and 6 months of intervention but there was no statistically signifcant difference between the two groups. The intervention group
had a statistically higher assessment score of visual memory than the control group. nutrition supplementation has improved psychomotor development among stunting children aged from 4-6 years old
