Abstract

A cross-sectional study was conducted among 300 patients with type 2 diabets in 30 ward/commnues in Thai Binh province in
2019 - 2020 aimed to describe comorbidities and complications of type 2 diabetes outpatients. The results of study showed that: the prevelance of commonly type 2 diabetes complications was cononary heart, heart failure and cerebrovascular disease with 33.7%, 29.7%, and 21%, respectively. Pevalence of comorbidites was hypertension, dyslipidemia, osteoporosis with 75.7%, 56.3%, and 47%, respectively. There was associations between comorbidities and diabetes complications and diabetes duration. There was association between heart failure and poor HbA1c control.
