Abstract

The study aims to describe the experience of inpatients and some related factors. A cross-sectional study was conducted on 400 inpatients from March 2020 to August 2020 at District 2 Hospital in Ho Chi Minh City. The proportion of inpatients who have good hospital admission experience is 67.5%, a good experience during a hospital stay is 59.8%, a good experience with hospital fees is 54.3%, and a good experience before discharge is 93.8%. The hospital admission experience is signifcantly correlated with age group, place of residence, occupation, and education level (p < 0.05). The experience during a hospital stay is signifcantly correlated with gender, age group, place of residence, occupation, and use of health insurance (p < 0.05). The experience of hospital fee payment is signifcantly correlated with marital status and education level (p < 0.05). The hospital admission experience is signifcantly correlated with age group, place of residence, occupation, and education level
(p < 0.05). The experience of medical services at District 2 Hospital is relatively high at over 50%, but the fee payment experience ranks the lowest, so it is necessary to promote continuous improvements. Cost transparency strengthens
