Describe the risk factors affecting the outcome of antiretroviral therapy failure in people with chronic hepatitis B

Chronic hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection is a serious global health problem. The success rate of treatment with hepatitis B antiviral therapy varies depending on many factors involved. Retrospective cross-sectional descriptive study on 2,026 electronic medical records of patients diagnosed with chronic hepatitis B to describe factors affecting the outcome of antiretroviral therapy failure in this group of patients. hepatitis B at Hai Phong International General Hospital in 2020. Research results show that the success rate in the treatment of chronic hepatitis B by antiviral drugs in the study group of patients at week 12 is 58.1%. Tenofovir disoproxil use, diabetes, hypertension, cirrhosis, and comorbidities were the variables influencing the rate of antiviral therapy failure at 12 weeks. The results of our study contribute to supporting clinicians in the prognostic process of chronic hepatitis B.
