Knowledge regarding COVID-19 prevention among outpatients at Nghe An provincial hospital of endocrinology in 2021

Abstract

A cross-sectional descriptive study was carried on 335 subjects by interviewing with pre-designed questionnaire to describe outpatient’s knowledge of COVID-19 prevention at Nghe An Provincial Hospital of Endocrinology in 2021. The results showed that the median of knowledge score was 31 (25% - 75% interquartile range: 22 - 35, min-max: 2 - 38), there were 54.0% good knowledge, 19.7% moderate knowledge, and 26.3% poor knowledge of COVID-19 prevention. The research showed that the proportion of good knowledge about COVID-19 prevention was still low, it is necessary to promote education and communication measures of health care and knowledge of COVID-19 prevention for outpatients, especially how to wear a mask property and the 5K message of the Ministry of Health.
