Research on students’ knowledge and attitudes about ethical issues in biomedical research is still limited in Vietnam. This crosssectional descriptive study was conducted on all 762 students of Public Health and Preventive Medicine majors of Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy in 2019 to describe their knowledge and attitudes regarding ethic in biomedical research as well as related factors. Using questionnaire, knowledge was assessed based on national guidelines on ethics in biomedical research. The 5-point Likert scale is used to evaluate attitudes. Study results showed that 52.2% of student had acceptable knowledge, following contents of National guidelines on ethics in biomedical research. Mean of attitude score was 57.0 ± 10.35 (range of score from 20 to 80). There are associations among major, school year, hearing about research ethic, considering research ethic, joined research and good knowledge and good attitude (p<0.05). Therefore, there is necessary to strengthen the teaching and training ethic in biomedical research among students.
