A cross - sectional descriptive study was conducted on 371 health workers in Hau Giang province from November 2022 to March 2023 to describe the current situation of training demands of health workers in Hau Giang province in 2022 and some related factors. The findings indicate that 83.6% of health workers want to receive training every year, with 97.1% desiring professional development and 61.6% desiring management training. Research results show that there is a relationship between the age (≥ 40 years old, OR = 0.46; 95% CI: 0.25 - 0.83), seniority (≤ 5 years high > 15 years, OR = 2.43; 95%CI: 1.0 - 6.32), professional (nursing higher than public health with OR = 4.68; 95%CI: 1.21 - 16.34 or high doctor than public health with OR = 4.86; 95%CI: 1.21 - 17.81) of health workers, and the demand to train health workers. The number of health workers in the province necessitates a high level of training. The local government and the health sector need to have appropriate policies, remuneration and training plans to create conditions for health workers to participate in professional training, thereby improve the quality of medical services.
