The situation and factors related to patient satisfaction at the Family Medicine Clinic, Hai Phong Medical University Hospital in 2021

A cross-sectional study was conducted on 312 patients who visited the Family Medicine Clinic, Hai Phong Medical University Hospital from March 2021 to May 2021 to describe the situation and factors related to patient satisfaction. Directly interviewing patients using a survey form issued by the Ministry of Health together with decision No. 3869/QĐ-BYT in 2019. Research results showed that the overall satisfaction rate of patients was 78.5%. Factors related to patient dissatisfaction included: women (OR = 1.89; 95%CI: 1.15 - 3.06); unsatisfied of patients aged 18 - 20 years old was 0.63 times higher than patients aged 21 - 40 years old (p < 0.05); education level below university (OR = 1.57; 95%CI: 1.00 - 2.46); retired patients tend to be dissatisfied 2.35 times higher than patients who are civil servants (p < 0.05); patients visited infrequently (OR = 1.81; 95%CI: 1.03 - 3.17). The hospital needs to improve the quality of medical services to be able to meet the satisfaction of all patients who come to the clinic.
