Knowledge, attitudes about the health impact of climate change among students from Hai Phong University of Medicine and Pharmacy in 2020

Climate change is the greatest challenge of the 21st century, threatening human health and development. Vietnam is one of the world’s most vulnerable countries to the effects of climate change. A cross-sectional study using the online questionnaire was carried out among 1348 Hai Phong University of Medicine and Pharmacy students. The study aims to describe the knowledge and attitude of respondents on the affect of climate change on health. The results showed that the proportion of students with correct knowleadge about the health impacts of climate change was 61.3%, of which 97.0% of students thought that climate change adversely affects health, but only 45.7% of students knew what those affects are. 82.7% of students worried that climate change would affect human health, and 90.7% thought that climate change prevention responsibility belongs to the citizen.
