The utilization of methamphetamine presents a significant public health concern, with implications for mental health. This review was conducted to describe the current situation and the relationship between methamphetamine use and mental health in the period 2013 - 2023. The results through searching and analyzing 11 studies revealed that anxiety prevalence ranged from 3.3% to 68.4%, while rates of depression fluctuated between 11.0% and 76.4%. Methamphetamine use was a contributing factor to heightened risk for mental health ramifications among users. Therefore, there is a need for further research to investigate methamphetamine use regarding possible associations and provide information necessary for the development of effective prevention and intervention strategies in the future.
