Working motivation of medical staff at Thai Nguyen City Medical Center in 2023

Work motivation of medical staff is a crucial factor in the health care system. However, lack of evidence of work motivation among health staff at the district level in Vietnam. This study aimed to describe work motivation and factors that affect the motivation of health staff who are working at Thai Nguyen City Medical Center. A cross - sectional survey was conducted among 114 health staff who are working at the medical centrer. The results showed that work motivation is quite high in each issue, average score ranging from 4.1 (realized their own value when working at the Medical Center) to 4.4 (complied with working time). 75.4% of health staff had good motivation. Older have better motivation than younger staff (OR: 1.145; CI (1.038 – 1.264) and males have better motivation than females (OR = 4.635; CI (1.030 – 20.853). Leaders of Thai Nguyen City Medical Center need to pay attention to improving the motivation of female and young medical staff.
