A cross - sectional study to describe and analyze some factors related to sleep quality on 345 elderly people in Son Tra district, Da Nang city, using the sleep quality index (PSQI) scale to measure measure and multivariate logistic regression model to determine related factors. There are 67.8% of elderly people with poor sleep quality. People with poor sleep quality were higher in the 70 - 79 age group than in the 60 - 69 age group (OR = 2.26; 95% CI: 1.11 - 4.59). Those who are not in the retirement group have poorer sleep quality than the retirement group: Fishermen (OR = 24.9; 95% CI: 3.26 - 191.29), housewives (OR = 9.22; 95% CI: 1.83 - 46.46 ), elderly and weak at home (OR = 9.7; 95% CI: 1.98 - 47.48). Elderly people with poor sleep quality were higher in the sometimes lonely mood group than in the comfortable group (OR = 5.08; 95% CI: 1.43 - 17.98). The elderly had poor sleep quality in the group with moderate anxiety (OR = 6.26; 95% CI: 1.08 - 36.16) and severe (OR = 11.90; 95% CI: 1.00 - 141.69) higher than the normal group. Elderly people with poor quality of sleep account for a high percentage, need health counseling, psychotherapy, and avoid negative effects from psychology and family.
