Control of risk factors and risk assessment of atherosclerotic cardiovascular events are essential for appropriate measures to reduce cardiovascular events and atherosclerotic mortality in patients with atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease. diabetic patient. Therefore, we had investigated the risk of coronary heart disease due to atherosclerosis 10 according to the ASCVD scale - 10 in 2781 patients with type 2 diabetes aged 40 - 79 treated as outpatients at General Hospital Hai Phong International in 2020 with the aim to survey and stratify the risk of atherosclerotic coronary disease in 10 years of patients with diabetes according to the ASCVD - 10 scale according to ACC/AHA 2019 recommendations. We found that 70,7% had a high risk of 10-year atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease, thereby indicating the need for early screening for ASCVD-10 risk as well as control of related factors (weight control, control) blood pressure and blood lipid indices such as HDL-c, Triglyceride) in diabetic patients for early intervention measures. The results highlighted the urgency of efforts to improve atherosclerotic risk factors for the primary prevention of atherosclerotic coronary disease risk.
