Abstract

Mental health is fundamental to the well-being and productive functioning of individuals. A cross-sectional descriptive study was conducted to identify some factors related to mental health on 300 students at Phan Dang Luu High School, Hai Phong from October 2020 to June 2021. Research results showed that the factors related to signs of depression in students included the marital status of their parents; strict school rules, the sociability of friends and the attention of teachers (p < 0.05). Schools and families need to take steps to support students to prevent depression from leading to behaviors that are potentially harmful to students and the community.
