Situation of quality of life of elderly people with non - communicable chronic diseases and some related factors in An Lao district, Hai Phong City in 2021

A cross-sectional descriptive study on 321 elderly people with chronic non-communicable diseases in 2 communes of An Lao district, Hai Phong City from December 2020 to June 2021 in order to describe the quality of life and some related factors by the questionnaire WHOQOL BREF and EQ - 5D - 3L. Research results according to the WHOQOL - BREF questionnaire showed that the overall quality of life score is 56.73 ± 10.18 points, including 4 aspects, physical aspect: 50.8 ± 14.6; psychological aspect: 55 ± 11.9; social aspect: 64.7 ± 13.1; Environmental aspect: 56.4 ± 11. According to the EQ - 5D - 3L questionnaire, the aspects of walking, self-care, and daily living were mostly level 1 - no problem. The factors: gender, age group, family status, health and source of income (p < 0.05) are related to the quality of life of the elderly according to the WHOQOL - BREF questionnaire. The above factors also affect most aspects of quality of life according to the EQ-5D-3L questionnaire (p < 0.05).
