Abstract

Measles antibody titer is an important indicator that allows the assessment of the body's ability to protect against the risk of measles. Cross-sectional study aims to describe some factors related to measles antibody concentration of 271 children from 5 to 7 years old, who did not receive the measles-rubella vaccine during the measles-rubella supplementary vaccination campaign for the 2018 - 2019 period, in 05 communes (Viet Hong, Y Can, Co Phuc town, Quy Mong, Hong Ca), Tran Yen district, Yen Bai province from January 2020 to October 2020. Research results show that: In the univariate regression model, demographic factors, history of measles vaccination, occupation and education level of mothers are statistically significant (p < 0.05)with the measles antibody titer. The results of the multivariable regression model showed that the place of residence (commune) and the history of measles vaccination were associated with the titer of anti-measles antibodies with statistical significance (p < 0.05). In which, children who have received 2 doses of measles vaccine have measles antibody titers 3.7 times higher compared with those who have not been vaccinated or received less than 2 doses of vaccine (OR = 3.7; 95%CI: 1.62 - 8.54). Children in Co Phuc Town have measles antibody titers 2.2 times higher compared with children living in other communes (OR = 2.2; 95%CI: 1.22 - 3.89).
