Crews with hypertension were 6.5 times more likely to develop diabetes than the group without hypertension. Overweight, obese crew members are 3.5 times more likely to develop diabetes mellitus than crew members of normal and lean weight. Crew members with a high waist-hip ratio index were 3.9 times more likely to develop diabetes than crew members with normal waist-hip ratio index.
