Leptospirosis is a zoonosis that spreads worldwide and causes major problems for animal health, but also for human in contact, direct or indirect, with infected animals. The disease is more prevalent in tropical areas because the survival, and then the transmission of the bacteria is favored by the humidity and the animal management conditions such as Vietnam. The work aim to identify a predominant serovar of leptospira in unknown fever patients hospitalized at Military 103 hospital, Ha Dong district, Hanoi in Vietnam, 2016-2018. The methods used for this study were ELISA and MAT on blood samples from 140 patients suffering from an unknown fever. Results revealed 48 positives results of the ELISA test in blood samples and among these 48 positives, 10 were confirmed by the MAT test. Finally, we confirmed that the seroprevalence in our sampling is 34.2% (48/140) and the 6 serovars identified by MAT are L. interrogans serogroup Bataviae, L. noguchii serogroup Panama, L. interrogans serogroup Pyogenes, L. interorgan sserogroup Canicola, L. borgpetersenii serogroup Javanica, and L. noguchii serogroup Louisina.
