The current health of workers at Phan Me coal mine, Thai Nguyen in 2022

Working in coal mines can affect health, which is the cause of rising and increasing the rate of diseases in workers... especially occupational diseases. A cross - sectional descriptive study was conducted on 294 workers to describe the health status of workers at Phan Me coal mine, Thai Nguyen in 2022. Data is collected through health check for workers. The results show that the proportion of workers with health level II is the highest (84.35%), type III (11.22%), type I (2.38%), type IV (1.7%), and the lowest is type V (0.34%). Ear, nose and throat disease accounted for the highest rate (62.27%), musculoskeletal disease (58.84%), gastrointestinal disease (41.84%), dental disease (37.41%)...Lower respiratory disease accounted for a low rate (4.76%), there was only 01 case of occupational dust disease (0.34%). The rate of employees taking sick leave during the year accounted for 62.93%, the average number of sick leave was 2.02, the average number of sick days was 10.44 days/ year. The health of workers in Phan Me coal mine is not good, there are cases of health type IV, V and the rate of ear - nose - throat and musculoskeletal diseases are relatively high. It is necessary to have a reasonable labor plan and treatment of diseases for workers.
