This research sought to assess the effectiveness of targeted interventions aimed at elevating the rate of Hepatitis B birthdose vaccination within the first 24 hours after birth (HepB24h) in the Muong Cha district of Dien Bien province. The intervention involved 220 pregnant women who were equally divided into an intervention group (n = 110) and a
control group (n = 110). The interventional measures encompassed health promotion initiatives and home vaccination for HepB birthdose, and their efficacy was evaluated over a span of six months. As the results, the rate of births occurring in health facilities surged from 21.8% to an impressive 60.0%, representing a remarkable efficacy of 56.1%. Moreover, the rate of HepB24h vaccination surged from 26.4% to a highly commendable 97.3%, illustrating a striking efficacy of 142.1%. In summary, the implemented interventions yielded substantial positive outcomes, with particular emphasis on the pivotal role played by local authorities in the seamless execution of these intervention activities.
