A community intervention with control study was conducted from September 2018 to August 2019 to evaluate the effectiveness of malaria parasites treatment under direct supervision in Bu Gia Map District, Binh Phuoc Province. Interventions include direct supervisor treatment of health workers in the households of those infected with the malaria parasite detected through the surveillance system (passive) at the commune health station, and actively examine those at risk of malaria, and samples of blood were taken for testing after the treatment. The results showed that, those infected with malaria parasites, which were passively and actively detection in the intervention group, and treated with direct supervisor reached 100%. The test results after treatment by giemsa staining technique on D3, D7, D14, D28 were 100% negative for
malaria parasites, but 16.67% of the control group achieved positive for malaria parasites on D3. For persons infected with malaria parasites detected before and after intervention in the intervention group with Real-Time PCR technique, malaria parasites P. falciparum 100% were treated under direct supervisor. The test results after treatment by Real-Time PCR
technique 100%, were negative on D3, the control group 64.18% and negative on D3. The persons infected with malaria parasites treated with direct supersivor by P. vivax (45.45%), the test results after treatment were negative for malaria parasites 45.45%. Thus, the direct supervision of people infected with malariaparasites is more effective.
