Result of model of test kits delivery for HIV self - testing using the website in Binh Duong, 2021 - 2022

Abstract

A model of delivery HIV self-testing kits using the website has been implemented to help expand and diversify HIV testing services and increase access to HIV testing for customers who have never been tested for HIV. From November 2021 to September 2022, Binh Duong deployed the website tuxetnghiem.vn, customers aged 15 years in Binh Duong province registered to receive HIV self-testing test kits using the website. This study aims to describe Result of model of test kits delivery for HIV self - testing using the website in Binh Duong, 2021 - 2022. As a result, 238 customers registered for an account, of which 129 customers were eligible to receive HIV selftesting test kits, the average age was 27.6 years old, 67.4% of customers had never been tested, 65.9% received information about the website via social networks and 65.9% of customers received test kits through express delivery. The rate of HIV-positive customers was 4.7% (6/129); 100% (6/6) of customers were diagnosed with HIV then were connected to ARV treatment. Binh Duong needs to promote the distribution of self - testing products via the website on the media, especially: facebook, zalo, blued, ... At the same time, live stream and write introductory articles on groups or forums to reach many customers who are at high risk of HIV infection but are afraid to go to medical facilities.
