Unprotected sex behavior is one of the high-risk behaviors that can lead to HIV/AIDS transmission, especially in high-risk populations. A cross - sectional descriptive study was conducted on 318 subjects who inject drugs in Thai Nguyen city to describe the status of using condoms during sexual intercourse and some factors related to non-use behavior. condom use in this target group. In the most recent sexual intercourse, the rate of not using condoms accounted for a high rate (59.7%). Only 14.6% of people use condoms when having sex with their wives/lovers at all times. Unmarried people had a 60% lower risk of not using a condom during sex than married people (95% CI 0.22 - 0.76). Injecting drug users who received ART and had an STI screening within the past 3 months had a lower risk of not using a condom during sex. The risk of having sex without a condom can be reduced through counselling at clinics that provide health care to people who inject drugs.
