Abstract

A cross - sectional study was conducted on 400 households in 2 communes, Quang Yen town, Quang Ninh, from January 2019 to June 2019. This study aims to describe factors related to knowledge, practise of pesticides use among population living on 2 communes, Quang Yen town, Quang Ninh in 2019. The study participants were interviewed by a structured questionnaires to describe elements related to knowledge and practice of pesticides use among population. The result of study showed that the higher level of education, the people of Hoang Tan commune are the factors that increase the rate of good knowledge (OR = 1.55, 95%CI: 1.03-2.34; OR = 4.53; 95%CI: 2.8-7.3). People had access to communication about pesticides having good
practice, up to 2,69 times higher compared with the people never heard the communication (95%CI: 1.97-7,49). Since then, we strongly recommend to increase communication and education activities to enhance the knowledge of safely adherences for local community.
