Abstract

The hospital - based study aimed to describe the clinical characteristics of Leptospirosis patients admitted in some hospitals in Thai Binh, Ha Tinh, and Can Tho City from 2018 to 2019. Results showed that 316 out of 3815 suspected cases were confirmed having Leptospirosis by laboratory tests, accounting
for 8.3%. The results demonstrated that three symptoms, including fever, headache, and muscle pain appeared among more than 90% of the patients. Two symptoms, including eye redness, and jaundice appeared among less than 20% of the Leptospirosis confirmed cases. Three symptoms, including vomiting, chills/having a cold, and rahs were more prevalent among confirmed cases than that of the unconfirmed cases. The differences were statistically significant, p < 0.05.
