Outcome of immediate implant placement at Hai Phong Medical University Hospital in 2020

Abstract

The dental implant technique has become popular due to its ability to restore chewing function and superior aesthetics compared to previous methods. However, one of the drawbacks of this method is the long waiting time from 6 to 9 months from tooth loss. To overcome this problem, immediate implantation after tooth extraction is a solution of choice. Stemming from that practical situation, our study were aimed to evaluate the results of immediate implantation in the posterior teeth at Hai Phong Medical University Hospital in 2020. Study were implemented with 30 Neodent Implant Neodent on 19 patients. The results showed the initial implant stability quote (ISQ) over 32Ncm account for 90%, after 3 months of implantation 90% cases had the ISQ at level good and moderate. In addtion, 96.7% cases showed good bone integration illustrated by no radiolucent image arround implant surface on Xray. Besides, none of complications such as imflamtion or bone resorption observed, there were only 2 cases with implant cover exposed.
