Abstract

Self-assessment of personal health was not only simply approaching but also a comprehensive assessment of all aspects of
health. Our study described the situation of self-assessment of personal health and some related factors of people aged 40 and over in Ha Nam province in 2019. The study carried out among 615 subjects based on the crosssectional descriptive study design. The results shown the majority of respondents who supposed their general health at good level (56.91%) to very good level (31.38%). Those have health insurance who self-assess their general health was 2.37 times higher than the others (OR=2.37; 95%CI: 1.21; 4.64). Thos without hypertension suppose their general health better than double the hypertension group (OR=2.00; 95%CI: 1.03; 3.90). Research showed that good self-assessment in physical health, mental health, social health, quality of life, and overall well-being prevail. The results of health self-assessment were affected by educational level, use of health insurance and self-reported of hypertension and headache.
