Abstract

COVID-19 vaccination is considered a global public health goal to prevent and control the transmission of SARS-CoV-2. A crosssectional descriptive study was conducted in November 2021 on 342 adults in Hanh Duc commune, Nghia Hanh district, Quang Ngai province to determine the rate of readiness for COVID-19 vaccination and the factors
associated with vaccination readiness among the population. The results showed that 84.2% of individuals were willing to participate in vaccination, while 15.8% were not willing. The factors associated with increased vaccination readiness among the study population were male gender (OR = 3.16 CI95%:1.35 - 7.39), age 18 - 30 (OR = 3.72; CI95%:1.17 - 11.80), lower educational level (OR = 7.63; CI95%:1.45 - 40.29), and engagement in multiple COVID-19 preventive behaviors (OR = 4.64; CI95%:1.60 - 13.46). To improve the vaccination rate, it is necessary to enhance communication efforts to increase public knowledge about COVID-19, preventive measures, and the benefits of vaccination, thereby encouraging individuals to be ready for vaccination.
