This study aims to describe chromosomal disorders in vitro fertilized embryos through the application of the next-generation gene sequencing technique NGS. The study was carried out on 578 embryos of couples undergoing in vitro fertilization with blastocysts generated by intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) at the Military Institute of Clinical Embryology and Histology, Vietnam Military Medical University and Tam Anh Hospital. The results showed that the rate of chromosomal disorder in 5-day-old in vitro fertilized embryos in the study was 42.7%. There was no association between medical history factors such as IUI failure, implantation failure, miscarriage/ stillbirth and chromosomal disorders. The rate of aneuploid embryos among maternal age in the group under 35 years old, 35-39 years old and over 40 years old were 36.3%, 49.1% and 54.0%. There was a relationship between maternal age and chromosomal disorders. There was no association between the medical history factors such as IUI failure, implantation failure, miscarriage/stillbirth and chromosomal disorders.
