A cross - sectional descriptive study was conducted on 230 pregnant women, who visited for vaginitis at the National Hospital of Obstetrics and Gynecology (NHOG) from September to December 2022, to describe some clinical, para - clinical symptoms and practices and the current status of care and counseling at NHOG. The average age of participating pregnant women was 28.21 ± 4.62 with an education level from high school. Common clinical and subclinical characteristics of vaginitis include a high amount of vaginal discharge (86.1%); foul-smelling discharge (86.1%); pain during intercourse (77.4%) and abnormal urination in 70.4%. Pathogen for vaginitis was mainly bacteria (85.2%) and fungi (14.8%). Women with a history of abortion had vaginitis 3.96 times higher than women with no history (OR = 3.96, CI: 1.32 - 11.90). The care and counseling of pregnant women with vaginitis at the NHOG were assessed by patients that good accounted for 83.6%, and not good accounted for 16.4%. It is recommended that healthcare workers should give patients more advice on the treatment of vaginitis, especially how to insert the medication.
