Health services utilization at commune health centers of people in Tu Ky district, Hai Duong province in 2021

A cross sectional study was conducted on 454 households in Tu Ky district, Hai Duong to describe the health services utilization at commune health center of the residents in 2021. The results showed that the number of sick people in town who used health services accounted for only 78.5% of total unwell residents. The age of the health services user was mostly in the elderly group (the group over 60 years old accounted for 41.2%). Majority of the users were farmers, accounted for 62.2%. The rate of having insurance was abundant with 98.3%. Most of the patients came to the clinic were in mild condition (90.6%), and at early point of symptoms of the disease (72.6%). In 2021, due to the impact of COVID-19 pandemic, majority of people chose commune health center as their primary care (77.3%). The other reason to choose the center that accounted for relatively high percentage was because of the close distance to their home (70.8%). Regarding to health services costs, most people paid less than 100,000 VND, and 61.8% of the residents said that the cost was sufficient. Based on these results, the district health centers’ leaders can conduct further studies to determine existing problems and find solutions to improve the quality of health services, that attract more people to choose the commune health center over other places.
