A cross - sectional survey was conducted among 210 men who have sex with men (MSM) at the HIV prevention treatment (PrEP) clinic of Ca Mau’s Centers for Disease Control (CDC) in 2022 to determine the prevalence of HIV infection and several related factors. The results showed that the HIV prevalence among men who have sex with men participated in the study is at 18.6%. The age group having sex for the first time at the age of < 15 accounts for 30.6%. The behavior of not using lubricants during anal sex with male partners also accounts for 22.2%. There is a high percentage of having group sex 30.5%. HIV prevention interventions for men who have sex with men should be strengthened, focusing on risk factors such as group sex, relationships with multiple partners, with prostitutes, not using condoms and lubricants when having sex with men. At the same time, there is also a need for ongoing studies every year for a comprehensive and planned assessment to be effective.
