Abstract

The research objective was to describe the current situation of alcohol abuse and learn about factors related to alcohol abuse in adult men in Vinh Phuc province in 2023. A crosssectional descriptive study was conducted on 1,800 adult men in Vinh Phuc province. Research results showed that the rate of alcohol abuse among adult men within the past 12 months was 87.2%, of which the rate of alcohol abuse among adult men was 16.9%. Some factors related to alcohol abuse include ethnic minorities, young people, occupation working for an agency/organization, freelance career, knowledge of the Law on Prevention of Harmful Effects of Alcohol. Therefore, it is necessary to propose measures to strengthen communication organizations about the Law on Prevention of Harmful Effects of Alcohol by many appropriate forms priority for ethnic minorities, young people, working for agencies/ organizations, freelance career. Build content of the Law on Prevention of Harmful Effects of Alcohol into the public service cultrue regulations of agencies/organizations.
