Abstract

A cross-sectional descriptive study aims to describe the situation of reasonable antibiotic use in Thai Binh and Nam Dinh General Hospitals. The results showed that the rate of first reasonable antibiotic at Thai Binh General Hospital is 40.1%, Nam Dinh General Hospital is 38.7%. The appropriate rate of reasonable antibiotic after results of antibiogramme at Thai Binh General Hospital is 71.6%. Nam Dinh General Hospital is 40.3%. The rates of reasonable antibiotic at the two general hospitals of Thai Binh and Nam Dinh are 68.4% and 73.8%, respectively. The management of antibiotic use in the two hospitals has not
yet come into specifc activities, which is the biggest factor affecting the rational use of antibiotics in the two hospitals.
