Results of managing people at high risk for COVID-19 in district 7 of Ho Chi Minh City in 2022

Abstract

A cross - sectional descriptive study described the results of managing people at high risk for COVID-19 in District 7, Ho Chi Minh City. Interviewed by questionnaire 400 people in the high-risk group for COVID-19 in District 7 from December 2021 to December 2022. The results showed that seven activities of the campaign to protect people in high-risk groups with COVID-19, activities to protect people in high-risk groups when people living with people and family members have COVID-19 reached the highest level (91.0 %), followed by the organization of vaccination against COVID-19 for people in NNCCs and people living with them, people with their families (83.3%). The activity of listing and managing people in high-risk groups was the lowest (63.7%). A joint assessment of 7 activities to manage people in high-risk groups for COVID-19 showed that 78.3% of subjects managed to pass and 21.7% of subjects did not. Research showed that the study subjects’ age group, occupation, health insurance, economic status, and history of COVID-19 related to the results of managing people in high-risk groups with COVID-19. The study recommended continuing to maintain and strengthen the combining distribution between the government and the health sector to manage high-risk groups with COVID-19 in District 7, with the
aim of reducing severe COVID-19 patients and mortality in the current new normal.
