Abstract

A cross - sectional descriptive study was carried out on 338 full-time students of Ha Tinh Medical College with the aim of describing the status and analyzing some factors related to mental health of students of the Ha Tinh Medical College. The status of mental health as well as factors related were assessed through the results of face-to-face interviews with students using the DASS-21 (Depression Anxiety and Stress Scales: Depression Rating Scale - Anxiety - Stress). Research results showed that the percentage of students with stress, anxiety and depression is 11.8%, 8.3% and 1.8%, respectively. Factors related to mental health include family conflicts, reasons for choosing a major and dissatisfaction with learning methods (p < 0.05).
